CAF has appointed Egypt’s Mohamed Maarouf Eid Mansour to officiate Rivers United’s CAF Confederation Cup additional playoff round first leg tie against El Nasr Benghazi, The PUNCH reports.
The match will be played November 2 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Rivers State.
According to a club statement obtained by our correspondent, Mansour will be assisted by three other Egyptian assistant referees.
“The 35-year-old will be assisted by compatriots, Mohamed Abouzid Halhal, Ahmed Hossam Eldin and Mohamed Adel Elsaid Hussien.

“Prince Kai Saquee from Sierra Leone will serve as Match Commissioner, Mendy John John Frank from Gambia as Referee assessor while Ozi Salami Abdulrahim works as COVID-19 Officer,” the statement read.
The encounter will be the first between Rivers and Benghazi at club level.
Rivers crashed into the second tier CAF inter-club competition after failing to scale the hurdle of the defending champions of the Champions League, Wydad Casablanca, in the last round.
Kick-off game is scheduled for 2pm next Wednesda,y while the second leg will be held in Tripoli November 9. ,
