Tanzania: Musa promises Olympic Eagles N.5m per goal

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has promised the Olympic Eagles the sum of N500, 000 for every goal they score against Tanzania on Saturday (today).

The U-23 team file out against the Junior Taifa Stars of Tanzania today at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, in the return leg of their second round 2023 U-23 AFCON qualifier.

In the first leg last Saturday in Dar es Salaam, the Olympic Eagles earned a 1-1 draw against the Tanzanians.

Captain Success Makanjuola scored for Nigeria from the penalty spot in the first half before Tanzania levelled matters, also from the spot, late on in the second half.

Salisu Yusuf’s side need a win or at least a goalless draw to advance to the next round of the qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the Junior Taifa Stars arrived Ibadan on Thursday and had their first training session at the Olubadan Stadium, after touching down in Lagos on Wednesday night.

The NFF also confirmed that officials for the game were already in the ancient city of Ibadan.
